A construction company reported $7,500 worth of equipment stolen from its site between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday at the University Village apartment complex. A gate leading to the construction site was forced open, a trailer window was broken and a tool trailer handle was damaged, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Unknown suspects took two computers, two phone lines, a fax machine, a printer, a digital camera, a telephone, a microwave and a power generator, she said. The matter is still under investigation.A 22-year-old male East Lansing resident was cited for drunken disorderliness at 11:46 p.m. June 7 near Grand River Avenue and the Human Ecology Building. "The person was intoxicated and walked into the Grand River roadway and was nearly struck," McGlothian-Taylor said. The man was staggering and attempted to cross the street, but stopped in the middle of the lanes and started to direct traffic, McGlothian-Taylor said. The resident was held overnight at the East Lansing Police Department jail.A 27-year-old from California and a 24-year-old from Midland received citations at 7:02 p.m. June 7 for disobeying a police officer and skateboarding in a parking ramp. An officer approached the two and asked them to stop, but they refused and skated out of the ramp to Shaw Lane, McGlothian-Taylor said.
