A 26-year-old male MSU employee reported a weed trimmer stolen between 9:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday in the Ag Expo field near the commuter lot on the corner of Farm Lane and Mount Hope roads. The employee was cutting grass around the area and left the door of the building unlocked where the maintenance equipment was stored, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. When the worker came back, the red and gray 2006 Stihl weed trimmer, which was recently purchased by the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, was missing. The trimmer was worth about $263.96.Two female Michigan residents reported a 23-year-old male from Richland, Mich., taking pictures underneath women's skirts between 6:45 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. Saturday at a wedding reception in the Kellogg Center Ballroom. "The subject was taking pictures up their skirts using a camera phone," McGlothian-Taylor said. "He didn't have permission from either of these women to do so." The man admitted to taking the photos and said he was glad to be caught and wanted to get help, she said. The investigation is still open and the women are deciding whether or not to press charges.Lindsey Poisson
