Free kids' movies will be shown in Lansing

The Goodrich Lansing Mall 6 Cinema, 921 West Mall Drive in Lansing, will be cutting kids a break this spring. Beginning on March 18 through May 14, families can enjoy children's movies free of charge during the Saturday and Sunday matinees.

The Goodrich mascot, a 4-foot inflatable named Kernal Korn, will be present at all the shows.

This year's schedule is:

March 18-19: "The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie"

March 25-26: "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"

April 1-2: "Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit"

April 8-9: "Robots"

April 15-16: "Madagascar"

April 22-23: "Because of Winn-Dixie"

April 29-30: "Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story"

May 6-7: "Curious George"

May 13-14: "Hoodwinked"
