An aggravated assault occurred in West McDonel Hall on Friday afternoon, an MSU police report states.The victim, a male student, told police his roommate punched him in the face, which knocked him down, then continued to punch and kick him, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The victim said he made a comment about someone's shirt, the suspect then made a comment about the victim's mother, then the victim approached the suspect, but didn't hit him, McGlothian-Taylor said.When the victim turned away, he said the suspect struck him, causing a tooth to puncture his cheek, McGlothian-Taylor said. Police arrested the man, an 18-year-old student, who said the victim slapped him first and he hit the victim when the victim faced him, not when he turned away, McGlothian-Taylor said.In addition to the puncture wound, the victim also had a swollen right eye, a cut across the right eyelid, and abrasions on his neck and inner and outer forearm, McGlothian-Taylor said.The case has been sent to the Ingham County Prosecutor's office for review, McGlothian-Taylor said. A female student said a gun was pointed at her by a man as she walked along Shaw Lane near Ramp 1 around midnight on Friday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student told police five men followed her after they all got off a CATA bus, McGlothian-Taylor said.One of the males ran up to her, pulled out a silver revolver, pointed it at her and said, 'Don't be creeping,' McGlothian-Taylor said.The males followed the student until she arrived at her location, then they continued walking east, she said.Margaret Harding
