Shoddy security hurts stadium's enjoyability

I was shocked at the lack of communication from the MSU security at the last home football game.

Like many other students this past weekend, my wife and I attended the game. Once we were able to press our way through the sea of tailgaters, we got to the section for our seats. When we got there, we couldn't make it out of the tunnel because the entire section was full. Not only was the section full, but the aisles and steps were as well. It created a hazard.

The inability of people to do their job by actually checking people's tickets created this hazard, but it was compounded by the rest of the staff because they wouldn't allow anyone to sit in their sections. This effectively left hot, intoxicated people in a very confined space. The real kicker was that many other spots around the upper deck of the stadium were completely empty.

Way to make a bad situation worse by being incompetent and not communicating. If the student section is first come, first serve, as the past weekend showed, fine. Just open up other sections that have available seats for those who don't have a seat to correspond with their ticket.
