Benjamin Greathouse seems to have missed the point of my previous letter ("Letter writer wrong with interpretation" SN 7/19). There are pastors with more theological training than he has that believe that homosexuality is not a sin.
Perhaps he should seek out and learn about these viewpoints before dismissing them. Perhaps he should learn about the historical context in which the Bible is written.
I know the arguments Greathouse will make, and I know how to combat them. It does not appear to me that he has done the same homework. Perhaps, if and when he does, he can lobby a more formidable defense other than a passage written by a man 2,000 years ago.
