Tape shows students clearly misbehaved

I just viewed Andrew Johnson's video of the April 2-3 disturbances and have some comments to make. Although the police were out there causing issues (assaulting innocent bystanders), some students need to take responsibility for their actions as well.

The police are at the one corner, large amounts of people are headed toward the police, they fire tear gas, disperse the crowds and then the crowds return even running through and throwing the tear gas back. That may illicit more tear gassing because obviously the first few rounds didn't work.

These are the students that need to be held accountable for innocent people getting gassed and not having anywhere to go because all of the buildings were gassed to continually disperse the crowd. If the students would have just dispersed, or better yet not have been outside in the first place (because it is illegal to assemble outside among other things, and you can't tell me it was peaceful because there was a picture with a fire in the middle of it as well as the vocal obscenities yelled through out the video) this would not have gotten so out of hand.

The police were wrong at times, and something does need to be done with their "riot" policies, but so were the students who were running around like idiots, throwing tear gas back at the police, and walking toward the police in large groups. You can't tell me that everyone in that group was heading home.
