As an alumnus, it disturbs me to wake up on a Sunday morning, turn on the computer, and be greeted with headlines on every news site about the "riots" at MSU following the loss to North Carolina. Tear gas, burning couches, riot police - it is there for all to see. Maybe the stories are overly dramatic. Maybe they fairly reflect what happened in East Lansing on Saturday night. It doesn't matter.

What does matter is that the actions of a few people reflect negatively on everyone associated with MSU. Current students, faculty and alumni are once again embarrassed by these actions. This should be a time when the green and white should be justifiably proud of another great season - not cringing in embarrassment over the "celebrations" following the game.

A final word for those involved in Saturday night's fracas: Do us all a favor and either grow up or transfer to Michigan.
