The Ten Commandments monument that cost Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore his job in 2003 will be on display today in front of the Capitol.
Moore was ordered to remove the 5,300-pound monument from a state court house and was fired when he refused.
The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments about the issue in early March and has yet to reach a decision.
In local response to the controversy, a Michigan House joint resolution was introduced by Rep. Robert Gosselin, R-Troy, that would create a similar monument in the state's Capitol. It was referred to the Committee on Government Operations.
