Police briefs 02/07/05

A 19-year-old female employee told police between 12:45 p.m. and 12:48 p.m. Thursday, a man took $11.88 in computer accessories and beverages from a Hubbard Hall Sparty's Convenience Store, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The woman told police the man was walking out of the store with an Ethernet cord, valued at $9.99, and a $1.89 Cranberry-Raspberry Slenderize Fuze juice drink when she stopped him and asked if he was going to pay for the items. The man reportedly said, "No," and walked out of the store putting the items in his backpack, McGlothian-Taylor said.The suspect is a male, 18-20 years of age, 5-foot-7 inches tall, with brown eyes, brown hair, dark skin and a slender build, McGlothian-Taylor said.The case is still under investigation.
