Investment students host Ford Credit CFO

November 9, 2004

Dave Cosper, an MSU alumnus who worked his way up the corporate ladder to become Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Ford Credit, will speak tonight at 7 p.m. in N100 of the Business College Complex.

The presentation, titled "The Life of a CFO," will describe what to expect in the industry, said David Savickas, the vice president of marketing for the Student Investment Association, or SIA.

"He started at an entry-level position and built his way up," Savickas said. "In SIA, we have a strong portion of our membership devoted to the financial industry, so a lot of students want to hear more about the corporate world and what it is like."

SIA, which kicked off the year with a presentation from MSU President M. Peter McPherson and plans to host speakers throughout the semester.
