Men's soccer loses to Ohio State, now 7-3-1

Ohio State defeated the MSU men's soccer team on Sunday. It was MSU's second Big Ten loss of the season.

OSU's Kyle Veris scored the first goal of the game about eight minutes into the first half, taking a 1-0 lead.

The Buckeyes scored their second goal in the second half, sealing the game, 2-0.

MSU sought to come back with 10 attempted goals in the second half. Buckeyes goalie Ray Burse Jr. made nine saves.

The Spartans are now 7-3-1 overall and 1-2 within the conference. Ohio State is 5-4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten.

The Spartans' next game is at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Oakland. MSU's next Big Ten game is at 2 p.m. Sunday against Michigan in Ann Arbor.
