Police briefs 09/08/04

A 20-year-old female student returned to Lot 89 on Thursday night to find her 2003 Honda Civic on cinder blocks, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The front two wheels were missing, but the car wasn't entered or damaged, McGlothian-Taylor said. Damage is estimated at $200. Police have no suspects.• A 19-year-old female student living in East Wilson Hall received a series of threatening calls on her cell phone last week, McGlothian-Taylor said. The woman told police she didn't recognize the caller, who was male and attempted to alter his voice. He made threats against her and her family, McGlothian-Taylor said. Police have no suspects.• A wallet was stolen from an IM Sports-Circle locker room bench Thursday afternoon, McGlothian-Taylor said. A 24-year-old female student left her backpack unlocked in the first floor locker room, then discovered the wallet missing about 30 minutes later. Police have no suspects.Shannon Houghton
