An MSU student had her cell phone stolen from the bus stop at Wilson and Chestnut Roads Thursday night, said MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor. The 21-year-old woman told police the phone was taken from a clip on her waistband just after 9 p.m. Officers searched the area, but didn't find the phone or suspicious persons.• A 25-year-old male MSU student reported his computer stolen Thursday afternoon, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student left his IBM ThinkPad in his Spartan Village apartment and left for several hours without locking his door.An unknown suspect entered the empty apartment and stole the laptop and its case. Nothing else was reported missing from the apartment, which was undamaged.• Two university computers were damaged last week in North Kedzie Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said. A 26-year-old man reported his computer's hard drive stolen from a cart, and a 47-year-old woman said the interior of her computer - plus the mouse, memory card and printer were missing. Both computers were in a locked office, that a number of graduate students could access, she said. McGlothian-Taylor added that a key had been used to enter the office. No graduate students were charged with the theft, she said.Shannon Houghton
