A horse damaged two cars between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Thursday at the parking lot near the Horse Teaching and Research Center, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The animal, which was not injured, was being walked by a child involved in the 4-H Youth Exploration Days program, McGlothian-Taylor said. The child got nervous and pulled on the reigns, causing the horse to bump into two vehicles located in the nearby parking lot, according to McGlothian-Taylor.The damage, estimated at $2,000, included dents on the driver's side rear quarter panel and the trunk of a 70-year-old Okemos man's 1997 Honda, and a 54-year-old Novi woman reported a large dent on the trunk of her 2004 Dodge Neon, McGlothian-Taylor said. More than $13,000 worth of university equipment was stolen from an Engineering Building classroom last month, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 37-year-old male university employee reported two projectors, that were padlocked to the ceiling of a classroom, were missing sometime between 10 p.m. on June 22 and 9:40 p.m. on June 29, McGlothian-Taylor said.Police have no suspects.Jonathan Malavolti
