Math department to hold award ceremony

The Department of Mathematics will hold its 2004 awards ceremony on Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in A204 Wells Hall. Faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students will be honored during the ceremony.

Charles Morgan Jr. and Professor Bruce Sagan will be awarded with the J.S. Frame Teaching Excellence Award. Zhewei Dai will receive the annual Excellence in Teaching Award for Senior Graduate Teaching Assistants.

Alberto Condori will receive the Excellence in Teaching Award for a Junior Teaching Assistant and Lakeisha Parker will receive the Excellence in Teaching Award for Undergraduate Teaching Assistants.

Selected students will be awarded with the Herzog Prize, the LC Plant Award, the Fitzgerald Scholarship in Mathematics Education and the Richard E. Phillips Memorial Scholarship.
