The MSU field hockey team won the Mercian Spring League Cup for the third year in a row on Sunday, defeating Michigan, 3-1, in the championship game. Junior Veerle Goudswaard added the first two goals and assisted freshman Ashley Pernicano's goal to defeat the team that took out MSU in the second round of the 2003 NCAA tournament.
