Several rooms in Baker Hall were burglarized and damaged between Sunday and Monday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.Windows to offices on the second, third and fifth floors were broken, and some damaged with a fire extinguisher, McGlothian-Taylor said.A laptop computer was stolen from one office, while money was taken from a desk drawer and cabinet in other rooms.McGlothian-Taylor said the doors were locked at the time.A 48-year-old female employee reported the incident to police and it is still under investigation.Estimated value of the damage is $350, and the value of the stolen items is more than $2,600.Police have no suspects. A data video projector, valued at $6,900, was stolen from a Holmes Hall classroom between March 16 and 17, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 45-year-old female employee reported the projector missing.Police have no suspects. A 25-year-old female student told police her backpack was stolen from the third floor of the Main Library on Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student said the backpack contained her purse, wallet, cell phone, calculator and credit cards. She told police she was studying at a cubicle and left the bag unattended while she went to the restroom.When she returned, the books she was using were still there, but the backpack was gone.Estimated value of the loss is $400, and police have no suspects.
