A 20-year-old female student reported her cell phone and phone charger stolen from her vehicle, MSU police Sgt. Jennifer Brown said.The student said her car was parked in the parking lot at the University Club on Saturday when she discovered the $60 phone and charger missing. She attempted to call the phone, but the person on the other line hung up after answering.A few hours later, the student called the phone again and a man answered. The two arranged to meet in the parking lot of the club to return the phone, but the woman said he never showed up. She then called the phone and the man told her he was not coming.On Sunday, the woman noticed the phone was back in her car where she had left it. The phone then rang and a male voice told the woman, "Next time, lock your car."The woman reported the incident to police on Tuesday. Police have suspects and are continuing to investigate. A 35-year-old woman with no university affiliation told police she was assaulted Tuesday in Lot 79 near Spartan Stadium, Brown said.The woman was working at the lot for special event parking when the incident occurred. A suspect was later identified, but the woman said she did not want to press charges. There were no injuries reported as a result of the assault. A light fixture was reported broken in Hubbard Hall on Thursday, Brown said.A 20-year-old student who lives on the 11th floor reported the incident. A trail of glass from the broken light bulbs was discovered in the hallway.Estimated value of the damage is $200 and police have no suspects.
