LBGT identities focus of keynote address

March 24, 2004

A conference will be held on campus today to examine the intersection of race, disability, class, and lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender identities.

"Border Crossings: Multiple Oppressions and LBGT Identities" will address questions raised when various natures of oppression are interlocked for an individual.

The conference will include a luncheon and evening address keynote speaker Eli Clare, a writer and activist from Vermont.

A panel discussion featuring university officials and students will be held following the luncheon keynote.

Registration for the luncheon keynote is full, but the panel discussion and evening address are open to all.

The panel discussion will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Wilson Hall Special Dining Room and the evening address will begin at 7 p.m. in Parlor C of the Union.
