MSU redshirt freshman grappler Andy Simmons will attend the 38th Annual National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Star Classic on Monday. The event will take place at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Simmons will compete against Northern Iowa's Dylan Long, 2003 national runner-up in the 141-pound division. Simmons faced Long before at the Midlands Championships on Dec. 30. During the first meeting, Simmons pinned Long, the tournament's top seed, in 5:08. Both wrestlers have been ranked in the top 10 by all four wrestling polls.

MSU travels next to U-M in Ann Arbor at Cliff Keen Arena on Friday. Then, they will compete against Iowa in Iowa City on Sunday before returning to East Lansing to host Purdue at Jenison Field House on Feb. 8.
