Four Spartans took home first or second place individual honors in the men's track and field indoor season-opener Saturday in Ann Arbor.
Senior All-American Steve Manz finished first in the shot put with a throw of 55 feet 4.25 inches, while freshman Jason Brown finished in the runner-up spot with a throw of 53 feet 2.75 inches.
Sophomore Mark Langlois dominated the pole vault competition with a 15-foot 7-inch leap, and sophomore Brian Sherwood placed second in the high jump.
The team returns to action Friday at the Central Michigan Invitational in Mount Pleasant.
