Long weekend ahead for men's tennis

January 30, 2004

MSU men's tennis team plays three home games in two days this weekend.

The team will compete against Louisville on Saturday and Wake Forest and Valparaiso on Sunday.

The No. 52 Cardinals' overall talented lineup will prove to be a challenge. This season marks the sixth year in a row the two teams will compete. In the past five years, Louisville (3-1) has defeated MSU (4-0) three times.

The No. 33 Demon Deacons (0-0) are led by Andrew Hamar, the No. 77 singles player in the country.

MSU has not played against Wake Forest since 1993.

The Crusaders (0-1) have lost to MSU during each of the last three years.
