The MSU wrestling team will open the dual meet portion of its season Sunday when it hosts defending national champion No. 1 Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. at Jenison Field House.
The Spartans face the Cowboys coming off a 18th-place finish in the 2003 NCAA Championships. Since last year's match up, the Spartans have revamped their lineup while the Cowboys retain top wrestlers including two of the nation's top-ranked stars (Johnny Thompson at 133 pounds and Jake Rosholt at 184).
MSU newcomers junior Craig Trombly, 125-pound weight class, redshirt freshmen Tony Greathouse, 133, and Andy Simmons, 141, will make their dual-meet debuts this weekend.
Matt McCarty at 157, sophomore Jeff Clemens at 197, and senior Mike Keenan in the heavyweight division will be MSU starters.
