After being ranked No. 4 nationally this week, the MSU women's cross country team will travel to the Michigan Intercollegiate in Hudsonville on Friday with the men's team.

The women's team is ranked 13 places ahead of Wisconsin to be the highest-ranked Big Ten team.

The Intercollegiate will begin at 4 p.m. with the women's 4K race, followed by the men's 4K, the women's 6K, the men's 8K and the open 5K race at 30-minute increments. It will be hosted by Grand Valley State University at the Rolling Hills Golf Course.

Last Friday, the Spartans finished 13th out of 17 teams at the Notre Dame Invitational, led by sophomore Michelle Rafferty.
