MSU will be home to the 2003 Big Ten Cross Country Championships on Sunday. The teams will compete at the Forest Akers East Golf Course with the first women's 6k race beginning at 10:45 a.m. and the first men's 8k race at 11:30 a.m.
2002 Big Ten Athlete of the Year Michelle Carson will be returning to attempt to recapture last year's individual crown for the women's team. The MSU women's cross country team is ranked No. 6 in the Finish/Lynx Women's Cross Country National Rankings Poll.
