Police arrested an 18-year-old student early Sunday outside Shaw Hall after he allegedly punched an officer, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The suspect was yelling and appeared drunk when an officer approached him. The student began walking toward the officer, eventually throwing a punch.The officer wasn't injured. The suspect was injured when he was apprehended and transported to Lansing's Sparrow hospital.Police say the suspect was using a hallucinogen or narcotic when he assaulted the officer.The incident is being sent to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office for review. A 34-year-old man was injured when he drove his motorcycle into a chain in Lot 63, McGlothian-Taylor said.The vehicle was moving slower than 10 miles per hour when it collided with the chain. The man suffered a cut to his chin and complained of shoulder pain.He was taken to Sparrow Hospital.
