Police blocked off an area near the Biomedical and Physical Sciences Building on Wednesday night after a student reported a broken thermometer, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The incident was reported by a 22-year-old female student who was moving a gyrometer on a cart between buildings on campus.East Lansing police responded and helped cleaned the area. A 20-year-old student was cited by police for misusing university property when officers noticed he had apparently placed a stolen parking permit on his window, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student's car was towed, and the student told police that he purchased the permit from a friend for about $80 during the spring semester.
