E.L. hosts ethnic dance program

The Hannah Community Center will be filled with the musical sounds of modern dance, jazz, hip-hop, tap, Latin and East Indian as over 70 dancers from different ethnic groups participate in "Dance for a Cause."

Now in its second year, the event raises money through ticket sales and sponsors to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Lansing.

Over the years the Habitat program has built 150,000 homes in 88 countries.

Dancers from East Lansing High School and local dance studios will also be performing.

"Dance for a Cause" will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the Albert A. White Performing Arts Theater at the Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbott Road.

Main floor tickets cost $9, and balcony cost $7.

Students can purchase tickets for $7 for the main floor and $5 for the balcony.

Children under five are free.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (517) 706-0677, and will also be available for purchase at the door.
