Ramp closed at Trowbridge

U.S. 127 northbound ramp at Trowbridge Road will be closed for construction until early-August. The project aims at resurfacing along U.S. 127 from I-96 to Trowbridge. Construction will be taking place from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. in order to keep traffic flowing smoothly during the day.

In a joint effort with the city of East Lansing and the Michigan Department of Transportation, the road will be closed for traffic control while construction take places on the ramp and medians. Motorists will be detoured to the next exit on to Kalamazoo Street.

East Lansing City Design Engineer Jonathan Woodard said the project costs about $220,000.

Resurfacing is taking place along U.S. 127 from Interstate 96 to Trowbridge. Construction will be taking place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to keep traffic flowing smoothly during the day.

Construction is being handled by the transportation department and will cost about $626,000, department spokesperson Kari Arend said. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of June.

Dunckel Road in Lansing off U.S. 127 to Jolly Road will be under construction until an unspecified time in September, Jane Dykema, East Lansing assistant city engineer said.

The city of Lansing is funding the project, which will cost about $1.5 million.

Bike lanes will be added to Dunckel Road.

Construction on Farm Lane and Service Road is expected to be finished in August before school begins. The work is a joint effort with the office of Campus Park and Planning and the transportation department.

Construction Superintendent Dennis Hansen said the projects cost about $345,000.
