'BasketBowl' sales on target to break record

Ticket sales for "BasketBowl" have already eclipsed the 32,000 mark, well on pace to break the attendance record for an NCAA basketball game, the MSU Athletics Department reported Saturday.

"BasketBowl," an MSU-Kentucky men's basketball matchup scheduled for Dec. 13 at Detroit's Ford Field, was designed with record-breaking attendance in mind.

So far, more than 2,500 tickets are being ordered each business day, MSU ticket manager Chris Besanceney said.

Seats are available to the public on July 8.
