A cell phone valued at $200 was stolen Tuesday from IM Sports-West, a 22-year-old male student reported, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student placed the phone in his pants pocket, which he placed into an unlocked locker, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects. Both windshield wipers of a university-owned 1995 GMC van were broken off between Jan. 23 and Tuesday in the library parking lot, a 50-year-old university employee reported, McGlothian-Taylor said.The loss is valued at $40 and there are no suspects, McGlothian-Taylor said. A 17-year-old nonuniversity-affiliated male reported he was hit in the right cheek by a 16-year-old nonuniversity-affiliated male Wednesday in the Union computer lab, McGlothian-Taylor said.The victim was using a computer when he was hit and he chased the suspect out of the building but tripped and fell to the ground, losing sight of the suspect, McGlothian-Taylor said.The case has been forwarded to the Ingham County Prosecutors' Office.
