A piece of chicken was taken Tuesday from the Owen Hall cafeteria, a 35-year-old university employee reported, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.Police made contact with the student suspected of taking the food, and he stated he forgot to pay for it. He offered to pay $1 for the piece, but it's valued at $2.50. He has been informed he has to pay the total value, McGlothian-Taylor said.No prosecution is being sought by cafeteria management. A wallet valued at $40, containing $5 was stolen Tuesday from a locked locker at IM Sports-Circle, a 24-year-old male reported, McGlothian-Taylor said.The man put the wallet in a locker and when he returned, the locker was ajar and the lock valued at $5 was missing. There are no suspects, McGlothian-Taylor said.Chad Previch
