A 23-year-old female student reported both mirrors of a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix and its doors were damaged between Friday and Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.A blunt object was taken to both mirrors and the doors were dented. The damage is estimated at $200, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects. A 19-year-old male student reported his Hot Rock men's mountain bike was stolen between Saturday night and Sunday morning at Snyder Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.The red and white bike valued at $350, which had a lock valued at $15 attached to it, was parked in the hallway outside the student's first-floor door and was gone when he went to get it.The student asked people on his floor if they saw the bike and one student reported seeing somebody riding a bike around but couldn't make a description, McGlothian-Taylor said. An Xbox valued at $360, four Xbox games valued at $220, an Ab Roller valued at $30 and two textbooks valued at $120 were stolen between Friday and Saturday at East Wilson Hall, a 19-year-old male student reported, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student left the items in his unlocked room and when he returned they were gone. There are no suspects, McGlothian-Taylor said. A $3,000 Nikon telescope was stolen between Dec. 16 and Jan. 14 from a Natural Science Building classroom, a female university employee reported, McGlothian-Taylor said.Telescopes aren't secured to tables, but the room is kept locked. However, students are allowed to check out a key from the department library, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no signs of forced entry or suspects and it's believed the room was left unlocked and unattended. A 19-year-old female student reported her 1991 Toyota was damaged between Jan. 11 and Thursday in Lot 83, McGlothian-Taylor said.There are what appears to be key marks on both the exterior passenger and driver's side doors of the vehicle. Damage is estimated at $2,000, McGlothian-Taylor said.
