The women’s crew team secured a team bid to the 2002 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships from May 31-June 2 at Eagle Creek Reservoir in Indianapolis.
The bid marks the third time in the program’s five-year history as a varsity sport that the entire team will make the trip to nationals. The team has qualified at least one boat for nationals each year. Three Spartan boats - the first varsity eight, second varsity eight and first varsity four - will compete this year.
The Spartans earned the bid after placing third at the 2002 Big Ten Championships on May 4.
