Health alliance to end presentation series

April 24, 2002

The topic will be health professional shortages, and will include new data highlighting health care professions.

Featured speakers include Laurence Rosen, a doctor with Synchronys Group, Anne Rosewarne, president of the Michigan Health Council, Margie Clark, nursing program director for Lansing Community College and Kim Sibilsky, executive director of the Michigan Primary Care Association.

“We have put forth a task force for this issue,” Sibilsky said. “We’re establishing a commission to gather existing data and convert it into information. Then we’ll use the informed commission for resource allocation.

“This is a critical issue for everyone because when there are shortages, it costs more for health care.”

The discussion is from 7:30 -9:30 a.m. Friday in Big 10 Room C of the Kellogg Center. To register, contact Brandy Hodge at (517)827-5093.
