Event will feature music, games for all

April 24, 2002

Sunsplash will be held Friday for greeks, MSU students and East Lansing residents.

The event is from 3-9 p.m. on Linden Street between Bailey and Division Streets.

Sunsplash features free drinks, recreational activities in Bailey Community Center’s yard, a boat display, hot tubs, free prizes, music, games, free drinks and a can drive.

Kelcey Anderson, the community events specialist for the city, said the event is set up like a block party but aimed at the whole community.

“I think it is a great event to celebrate a great year for students in the community,” she said. “There will be things for people of all ages.”

Jonathan Rosenthal, ASMSU director of community affairs, founded the event and said it will bind all aspects of the community.

ASMSU is MSU’s undergraduate student government.

“We want to end the year with smiles on our faces,” he said.
