Olin Health Center is hosting an open house today to showcase its newly renovated front lobby and pharmacy.

The open house will take place from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in Olin’s lobby. Provost Lou Anna Simon will give a dedication speech at 9 a.m.

The open house will give students a chance to see the expanded over-the-counter pharmacy, new couches, computers and learn more about Olin services. Students can check vaccine records and history using the computers.

Students also will get a chance to enter Olin’s prize drawing. Door prizes include gift certificates, exercise equipment and first-aid kits.

Olin spokeswoman Kathi Braunlich said the renovations were a response to patient and employee requests to make Olin more patient-friendly.

“The customer-service window is up front now so patients know where to go,” she said. “Our couches and chairs are also new because we wanted to make it more comfortable for people waiting for prescriptions or friends.”
