After Sundays 1-0 loss in double overtime to Penn State, the MSU mens soccer team dropped down to at least third in the Big Ten.
But the Spartans proved they could still compete with a 4-0 win against Western Michigan on Wednesday at Old College Field.
The Spartans (9-3-1, 3-2 Big Ten) controlled the game from the start, but could not get the ball into the net.
Junior forward Brett Konley fired three shots without nailing a goal before the Spartans were able to score.
We were scared our offense wasnt going to come out that well, sophomore forward Thomas Trivelloni said. The first 10 minutes, we were kind of sluggish as a team
