The No. 6 field hockey teams winning streak grew to four games as it beat Kent State 3-2 on Sunday and Indiana 3-2 in overtime Friday.
MSU improved to 12-4, which is the teams most wins since the 1996 season.
Freshman forward Annebet Beerman scored the first goal against Kent State with nine minutes left on the clock. Beerman now has eight goals this season.
Senior midfielder Bridget Cooper followed with the second and third goals for MSU, giving her 12 on the season. Coopers career high of 88 points now ranks fourth on MSUs all-time chart.
In the last six minutes of the game, Megan Spurling scored her second goal bringing Kent State within one. But the Golden Flashes couldnt pull it out and lost 3-2.
MSUs sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Hess posted two saves in the win.
