Police briefs 05/30/01

A valuable coat was taken from a vehicle at the MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education’s west parking lot Sunday, police said.The coat, a performance showcoat owned by a 19-year-old female who is not an MSU student, was stolen from the woman’s 1998 Honda four-door, which was not locked. The coat is royal blue with a white design and is valued at $500, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said. Police have no suspects.

  • A 19-year-old student reported his jacket and wallet stolen from his car Wednesday.The vehicle was parked at Lot 62, near Spartan Stadium, and was unlocked at the time of the larceny. The wallet was inside the jacket when it was taken. Losses are estimated at $70 and police have no suspects.
