One fact that was left out of the article (“Dems elect new House leaders,” SN 11/13) is that Rep. Kwame Kilpatrick, the first black to be elected the leader of a House caucus in the history of Michigan’s Legislature, is also a graduate of MSU-Detroit College of Law. This is something that we as members of the university community should take pride in, and clearly is an item that should not have been left out of an article in The State News, regardless of what other newspapers might have done with this piece of information.
