Police briefs 11/09/00

A 71-year-old campus visitor’s van was damaged Tuesday while the owner was at the men’s basketball game, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.The owner had parked a Ford Aerostar in the service garage near Spartan Stadium and found the tires slashed upon return.Damage is estimated at $500. Police have no suspects.

  • Two 19-year-old male bike riders collided head-on along the bike path behind the International Center at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, Willis said.Neither student was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred. One man reported momentary unconsciousness and dizziness and was transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Willis said. The second man said he was uninjured and refused medical treatment.SARA LUNEBURG
