Police briefs 10/18/00

An 18-year-old student living in Yakeley Hall reported that numerous items have disappeared from her room during the past month, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.From Sept. 29 through Oct. 16 the woman has had $386 worth of her personal belongings disappeared, including CDs, headphones and a calculator.An investigation is underway.

  • A 19-year-old female student had items stolen from her convertible parked in Lot 83, on Service Road on the west side of campus, Willis said.Between 3 p.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. Sunday a hole was cut in the soft top of the student’s convertible and $460 worth of CDs were taken from the car, Willis said.Police have no suspects.
