Former MSU employee Larry Nassar was arraigned at 56A District Court in Charlotte, Mich. Thursday afternoon. Nassar pled not guilty to 13 charges. Nassar also pleaded not guilty to 23 charges at an arraignment 55th District Court in Mason on Thursday morning.
An alert sent out on Thursday, which said Larry Nassar had been released from custody was sent in error, according to the Michigan Attorney General's Office.
After learning about the allegations of sexual abuse against former MSU faculty member Larry Nassar, MSU alumna Catherine Hannum sent an email to MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon detailing her interactions with Nassar. MSU has not reached out to past Nassar patients, according to Hannum’s letter.
After a preliminary examination, Judge Donald Allen, Jr. has decided that People of the State of Michigan v. Lawrence Gerard Nassar will move forward to trial.
