After the season-ending loss in Maryland Heights, Missouri in the regional finals of the NCAA Championships for the Michigan State men's hockey team, honors and awards for the team continues to circulate the program. One more of those includes freshman defenseman Artyom Levshunov, who was named a second-team All-American by the American Hockey Coaches Association, or AHCA.
After a historic season for Michigan State men's hockey, the rewards for the past season continues to shower down as head coach Adam Nightingale received a nomination, along with nine other NCAA hockey coaches, for the Spencer Penrose Award for National Coach of the Year. The award is gifted by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
In a fight to the finish, the Michigan State Spartans men's hockey team made a historic season run that they had been hunting for the past two seasons under head coach Adam Nightingale.
