MSU will host its 7th annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering event on Feb. 25. A number of organizations through MSU’s College of Engineering are running the event, which is open to 4th to 8th graders of all genders. Participants will have the opportunity to rotate through five different hands-on activities of their choosing, all designed to model the various fields in STEM. These activities span a wide range, from beginner coding to building lava lamps.

The Board of Trustees, featuring two new trustees and a new chair, will hold its first regular meeting of the spring semester on Friday, Feb. 10 at 9 a.m. in room 401 of the Hannah Administration Building. The meeting will be trustee Rema Vassar’s first as chair after being elected to the position on Jan. 11.

Michigan State University announced today it obtained a second accreditation term from the Emergency Management Accreditation Program, or EMAP, a nonprofit which sets and reviews standards for institutions' emergency readiness. MSU remains the only university in the Midwest and in the Big Ten to hold an EMAP accreditation.

The Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion awards ceremony will be held on Feb. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Big Ten Room at the Kellogg Hotel.
