Senior defenseman Jimmy Fiscus was named to second-team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches Poll on Thursday night, making him the 38th Spartan in men's soccer history to earn All-American honors.

Fiscus is the first Spartan to earn All-American honors since former midfielders Jay Chapman and Fatai Alashe earned them in 2014.

Fiscus had five points this season with two goals and one assist including a game-winning goal against Western Michigan in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament. The senior captain also played 1,877 of a possible 1,890 minutes this season and helped lead a stout defense that only allowed 13 goals this season.

Fiscus was also named to first-team All-Midwest Region by the United Soccer Coaches and first-team All-Big Ten by the conference.

The Spartans finished 13-3-4 this season, with their season coming to a end in the Elite Eight in a penalty kick shootout against Big Ten foe Indiana.
