Former MSU employee Larry Nassar has been charged with destroying digital images and documents related to an investigation into his alleged sexual abuse of patients and possession of child pornography.

Nassar had a third-party vendor permanently delete the contents of the hard drive on a laptop and discarded multiple external hard drives when the investigation began, according to an indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids on Tuesday.

Nassar is also charged with receipt and possession of child pornography, including images of a minor younger than 12 years old.
