An armed robbery is being reported close to campus at a Pizza Hut on Grand River Avenue and Hagadorn Road, according to an East Lansing Police Department alert.

The Pizza Hut was reported being robbed at 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday night.

The suspect is a black male between 5-foot-8 inches and 5-foot-10 inches tall, wearing jeans, a white jacket and a red bandanna. He was last seen fleeing the area and headed north.

A second alert was sent out that said he was seen carrying a black handgun and had dreadlocks, probably in his early 20s.

Police are asking individuals to call 911 to report any suspicious activity and to use caution when in the area.
